NASHVILLE, TENN (December 11, 2015) Essential Music Publishing's Paul Mabury received two GRAMMY® nominations as co-producer for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album" for Lauren Daigle's How Can It Be and Jason Crabb's Whatever The Road. The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on February 15, 2016 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
"Jason Crabb is truly one of the sweetest people I have met in my entire life," shares Mabury. "I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with him and am excited to see that the record is well received!"
Mabury has steadily established himself not only as an outstanding producer, but also as a successful songwriter. He has co-written songs for All Sons and Daughters, Lauren Daigle, Tim Timmons, Jason Crabb, Elevation Worship, Amanda Cook, Meredith Andrews, Vertical Church Band, Desperation Band, Dara Maclean and more.
This year, Mabury co-wrote his first AC No. 1 single, "First" with Lauren Daigle, Jason Ingram, Hank Bentley and Mia Fieldes. He also co-wrote Daigle's chart-topping single "How Can It Be", which won the GMA Dove Award for "Song of the Year" and "Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year."
"Wow, what a ride! We started this journey a few years ago now... gathering songs and finding the right sound," he recalls about working with Lauren Daigle. "It's incredible to see, in any genre, an artist go from 'new' to known and celebrated in such a short amount of time. Her voice is a genuine reflection of her heart, and I think that's what people are drawn to when they hear the music. What an honor to be a part."
In addition, Mabury is one of Nashville's most in-demand and hard-working drummers. His unique style - with a seemingly endless variety of creative grooves - is instantly recognizable, and often emulated by drummers around the world. He also co-owns a boutique drum sample company, THAT SOUND, specializing in recording drum samples for the creative minded artist, producer and mixer. THAT SOUND has quickly become one of the most influential samples and beats companies in the world.
Mabury is also partnered with fellow Essential Music Publishing songwriter and producer Jason Ingram in their group One Sonic Society (Essential Worship). This year, One Sonic Society released Make A Way, which highlights some of their worship music collaborations, speaking to their passion for writing songs for the church to sing.
